Dad and Mary

Hi Sara, I am sorry that I am late this morning. We had a busy day yesterday and I was very tired, so I stayed in my bed a little longer this morning. But I have been thinking about Misty and Oreo all morning. I need to peep at them so that my smile will come easier. So if any of you want to go with me hop on Sara's Dog Training and we will go see them. Now hop off and smile.

Thank Sara for giving us so much to enjoy DAD.

I am late with our Starbucks Coffee this morning. But since this is Saturday morning I am sure that it is alright with you. So sleep as long as you want to, then stop in and I will serve you a cup of good strong SUMUTRA X bold. I have already tried it and it is delicious. I will be home all day. You are always welcome at Dad;s house, I love to serve you. DAD.

I Ate Too Much Turkey

I hope that all of you are feeling good this Wednesday morning. I am trying to get started but it is a struggle for me. So much happens in all of our lives that causes us too worry and fret. I am so Thankful for our Heavenly Father the one that we can go to at any time for help and comfort. And I don't forget all of my friends here on this earth, you all help this Old Man to keep plodding on.

Many years ago I first heard this thought. " Smile and the world smiles with you, weep and you weep alone." I don't really agree with that. I feel like in all my past life I have never had to cry alone. There have always been my friends to cry with me, and what a comfort that has been. Dad.

Eagles in a Storm

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.
The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them.
God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.
Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

It is Wednesday morning Starbucks Coffee time again , and I am ready for it. I am opening a new pound this morning and here is what is on the bag, SUMATRA X BOLD. It is perking now and it smells so good. I am feeling good this morning so I am going to serve, All of you sit down and relax for a few minuets it will do you good. This is in our back yard. We are seeing a lot of these cardinals and blue jays. They stay with us all winter. We are very proud of our WildLife Habitat, the birds are having a ball.

A letter from a mother to her son:

I write to let you know I am sill alive. I am writing slowly as I know you don't read fast.
You won't know the house when you come home - we moved. We had trouble moving, especially the bed - the man wouldn't let us take it in the taxi, and we were afraid we might wake up your father.

Your father has a nice new job and very responsible, He has about 500 people under him - he cuts the grass at the cemetery

Our neighbors, the Browns started keeping pigs. We got wind of it yesterday.
I got my appendix out and a dishwasher put in.

There is a washing machine in the new house here., but it don't work too good. Last week I put 14 shirts in the washer and pulled that chain. The whirled around real good, but then disappeared. I think something is wrong with the machine.

Your uncle Dick drowned last week in a whiskey vat at the distillery. Four of his work mates dived in to save him, but he fought them off bravely. We cremated his body the next day and just got the fire out this morning.

I went to the doctor with your father last week. The doctor put a small glass tube in my mouth and told me not to open it for ten minutes. Your father wanted to buy it from him.

It rained only twice last week - once for three days and once for four days.

I got a letter from the undertaker this morning. He said if we don't make up the installments on your grandmother's grave, up she comes.
