How are you feeling here on the morning of the last day of 2009 ? Has it been a good year for you ? Are you going to miss it ? I feel for myself that the year has treated me very good, at almost 97 years old, I will be in September I am still here huntin' & pickin' on this keyboard. And I am feling very good this morning. I am going to get us a big pot of Stabuucks ready and then we can sit a while and talk ( no gossip) just about all the good things that we know about.( Gossip has done so much damage in this present evil world.) And all the good things God and others have done for us.

I hope that all is well at your house this Wednesday morning, I am not sure about the weather yet but I think that we will have some sun today. I have not been feeling very good for several days, but I can see a little improvement this morning. I am going to try to keep busy today, that should help. DAD.

Well Monday is gone and I feel that we all made it very well . But we don't want to forget that New Years Day if almost here. After that is over then we can settle back to a normal life.

I do have my thought ready for this Tuesday morning, It is a vsrse that is in our bible study for tomorrow night, We are studying the last two chapters of Ecclestastes, words spoken by a man who loved the wisdom of God and not man. The first verse of the 12th chapter give some advice that I think is so good. Just read the whole chapter and think about it today whatever age in life that you are. Dad.

Are you worrying about this being Monday morning, well I am not, I am so glad to see it. I am anixous to get back to work, and my work is talking to you about growing tomatoes. This is going to be a good day if we do our part to make it one. So get yourself relaxed, have a cup of Starbuck with me which is ready and waiting, and start the week with a smile and a spring in your step, and when the day comes to an end you will feel very good about it. I think that this is Saturday morning, I am not really sure, you can let me know if I am wrong. If I am right I am sure that the most of you will be off from your work untill at least Monday. So let's take advantage of this extra rest, I am sure that we all need it. Then when Monday comes we will be ready to go. But don't forget we have one more holliday comming up New Years Day. It time to begin to think about your New Year Resolutions. I don't think that I am going to make very many. Then I won't have so many to break. I hardly know what too talk about this morning, I very seldom do but after I get started a few things come to me that I think might get me by.

WEDNESDAY'S ENTRY # TWO THOUSAND & TWENTY SIX

" Time is so precious-do not waste."

( This below was so good that was sent to me yesterday, I just had to show it first, the last few words of the article spoke very loudly to me, Dad,)
.
One day , the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip , the father asked his son , "How was the trip?"

"It was great , Dad."

"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.

"Oh yeah , " said the son.

"So , tell me , what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered:

"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us , but they serve others.

We buy our food , but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us , they have friends to protect them."

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added , "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have , especially your friends!

Pass this on to friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective and appreciation.

I had a rare treat on Saturday. We went to the Farmers' Market at Kapiolani Community College. One of the vendors was selling Fried Green Tomatoes. She wasn't selling her treasures, just frying them up I had big smiles between bites. Yummy! Now, I can surely wait until summer when Joan's are big and green and ready for the frypan. I am glad that this is Saturday morning and I am sure that you are with me. A good morning to curl up with a nice cup of Hot Tea or Starbuck's Coffee. I want to get off to a good start this Wednesday morning, I want to tell you that I am feeling good. My sleep was so restful last night. But as you see by what I say next we still need that good cup of coffee.
