WEDNESDAYS ENTRY # TWO THOUSAND EIGHTY NINE

Good Morning.

Life is so precious- do not waste it.
.
I am hopeing to hear good, when I ask you how you are feeling on this wednesday morning at 3 am.. Of course you don't know you are still in that nice soft bed, you are not as crazy as old Dad.
.
But I like this time of the day as you know, it is a good time just to be quiet and sit and count your blessings which are many for all of us.
.
I am thankful that I am feeling much better the last few days and I am happy when I am able to get outside and get involved with my WILDLIFE HABITAT. Our Cam # 3 has been very interesting the last few days many birds there most every day. This is the cam that where I can talk to you if we are bothing watching at the same time, listen for me sometime.

This recipe was adapted by the Associated Press from a cookbook called “The Modern Vegetarian” by Maria Elia. I’m a big fan of ginger - it brings a distinctive tang to a dish. It will balance with the sweet of the peach. Since this soup is chilled, it’s especially suited for summer.
Egyptian Tomato Soup
Worth the Whisk has reconstructed a tomato soup that the author ate while in Egypt. It features chili powder, paprika, lime juice and pimientos. I’ve never been to Egypt, so I will sample this soup in the meantime.
Green Tomato Soup
Here’s yet another use for those green tomatoes. I wonder how it tastes with the cinnamon and cloves that are suggested.
Warhol’s Tomato Soup Cake
Feasting on Art has a nice article talking about Warhol and his Soup Can Series of art. At the end, they give a recipe for Tomato Soup Cake, which sounds intriguing. It was described as being similar to a carrot cake, so it’s natural that it was covered with a cream cheese frosting.

I am in a Happy mood this morning, how about you. Just being able to be out of bed and able to help someone today should make us happy

This below is an email that I received from Sara's mom yerterday morning, and that did make me smile. Dad

While you were at your convention, Oreo was busy showing the judges what he has been trained to do and do so well. He came home with a few ribbons, including two Championship ones. I'd say you both had productive weekends and need a little rest today. Enjoy the morning watching all the birds at your feeder and than you and Prince deserve a nap together. ...Sara's Mom

This is the last full day, the last meeting will be over sunday afternoon. Good Morning.

One day of our convention has past and all is going well. very nice weather and very helpful meetings and we are looking for another good day today.

I am hearing so many good thing and I am going to need to get busy. So many things that have been spoken have had a soften effect on my heart.

Prince made it fine here at home, but I will tell you that he was one happy Prince when we arrived home last night

The plans for him are the same for today. I think that he is enjoying the naps and just feeling that he own the place.

We are so fortunate to have our good friend Ted who lives next door to watch after things while we are away this morning, he does so many things for us. It is way past time for me to go see Sara, Misty and Oreo at Sara's Dog Training blog which I enjoy so much. And I am also feeling the need for a cup of that Sumatrs x bold coffee, its hard to work without it. DAD



Touch of the Master's Hand

Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer: Thought it scarcely worth his while

"A thousand dollars, and who'll make it two?Two thousand! and who'll make it three
Three thousand, once, three thousand, twice, And going, and gone," said he.
The people cheered, but some of them cried."We do not quite understand,
What changed its worth," Swift came the reply:
"The touch of the master's hand."
And many a man with life out of tune, And battered and scarred with sin,
Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd, Much like the old violin.
A "mess of pottage," a glass of wine; A game - and he travels on.
He is "going" once, and "going" twice; He's "going" and almost "gone."
But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd
Never can quite understand
The worth of a soul and the change that's wrought
By the touch of the Master's hand.

.I am enjoying this beautiful fall weather so much. it has been the best here in East Tennessee in many years. We want to be more thankful to our heavenly father for all that he sends us. It is a great joy me to sit at my tomato garden and look out at all of nature, a miracle if there was every one.

TUESDAYS ENTRY # TWO THOUSAND SEVENTY SIX

My Great Grandson, Zachary! He is 9 years old and in the 4th grade.

Good Morning

I do have some thing to talk about this morning that I am very proud of and that is my Great Grandson Zachary picture above, this was taken a few days ago at Grandparents day at his school. We do have a Doctors appointment this morning real early, and when we return we will tell you a lot about Zachary, such as he being a 4th generation white and its up him to carry this white name on, and I have confidence that he will be able to do the job, we will tell you about his sports and lots about this young man that Great Grand Dad is so proud of.

Before we leave I do need my SUMTRA x bold coffee and my check on Sara, Misty and Oreo at Sara's Dog Training blog, if I miss either of those my day just don't go right. DAD.

I am going to do my best to be easy to live with this day It seeme like that most mornings there are always some things comeing up that we do not expect, especially monday mornings , so today I am going to face it with a big smile, it may not be easy for me, but it could be easier on you. DAD

I hope that all of you had as good quite weekend as Mary,Prince and I did. Mary and I was of course in our meeting which we enjoyed and it was so helpfll to me. I want to use things that were spoken to help me be a better boy this week.

Yes this is saturday morning and I am glad. I am feeling good today and I have a HAPPY mood. so with a pot of that Sumatra x bold in the pot and my usual look At Saras blog at Sara's Dog Training I will have a good day, I will at least be able to get a smile started, and that is worth a lot to me.
