DADS SATURDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FORTY THREE

Good Morning

This is the day that we all have been looking for, a day of rest, relaxing and renewing, Mary and I are going to take advantage of this by being in our Sunday morning and then spend the after noon with Prince

Since this is Saturday I am not going to say more now, but I will be back during the morning with more.

I have a few things that I must see about early this morning

Yes I am still here and feeling very good, I have not done very much this morning as my cart is in the shop, I will have it back the first of the week with 6 new batteries, then I can stir up some dust.

Today

Thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. Humid. High 32C. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

Partly cloudy early followed by scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. Humid. Heat index near 105F. High near 90F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

At 10:52 a.am. the temperature is 85, and sunny but I see storm clouds coming out of the west. It looks dangerous.

I will be gone for a few minuets I am going to Lowe's to pick up two outside timers to use on my two lighted Cameras. That should be interesting. DAD

DADS FRIDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FORTY TWO

Good Morning.

This week is passing quickly and I feel that we have finished a few long standing jobs. Our contractor completed the painting job yesterday and we are glad. DAD.

I am going to proceed with care again this morning again as I do not want to get in any trouble again, it can slip upon you so quickly, I am not planning to do very much today. My golf cart is acting up so I may take it to the shop for new batteries, and when you talk about batteries you are talking about lots of money, but without my golf cart I would have to give up.

We need to look at the weather report for 37920 and see what is ahead for us.

DADS THURSDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FORTY ONE

Good Morning .

I am going to start off very slow and easy this morning and see if I can do a bit better than I did yesterday Morning it was really bad.

After all we did have a very good day, we met with our main contractor and he has promised to get this job completed soon. They are starting a painting job today and I do feel encouraged.

I am feeling good this morning, even smiling before my x bold coffee is ready, I smell it anyway. My foot is so much better and I am feeling more like my old self, ready to get to work. Now how is everything in your part of the world. I hope that all goes well with you today and that you are getting this day started of right.When you are feeling good and doing well it makes me feel better.

DADS TUESDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED THIRTY NINE

Good Morning.

I have great interest in the weather report this morning, and my hope is for lots of sunshine. There is a great lot that the contractors have not completed and the weather is always their excuse. Here it is, hold your breath.

Mix of sun and clouds. Hot. High 33C. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph.

Some clouds in the morning will give way to mainly sunny skies for the afternoon. Hot. High 93F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph.

Now there is no way you can beat that, if some one don't show up this morning I am going to fire them on the spot, DAD.

Glad that you and Mary enjoyed the visit with your friend. I don't know if you are still keeping up with the Norfork Eagles or not but the rehab place is going to release the three eaglets along with two more they have there tomorrow. Its' supposed to happen at 11 am. They are supposed to show it tomorrow from the site below also You can see the eaglets from the hehab place now. They will travel to a place on top of a mountain where they have released eagles before. There are already around 12 or 13 hundred people signed up to meet them there.

I would like to look at the weather the first thing this Monday morning, the painting contractor did not get the job done on Friday and has promised IT for today.

Mary and I have so very much to make us happy this morning, our refrigerator has been returned to service after being off for one whole week, what a night mare . What a change it is to have food and cold water at your finger tips again.

As you see in the picture we caught only two trout . One was over 5 lb and the other over 4 lb. We plan on going back there soon. Jim.

I think Prince will give me a little spot near him to get a few naps, and I know Mary well enough to know that she will serve Iced x bold coffee. Now you can't beat that. DAD

Dad's Southern Fried Green Tomatoes
*6 Renovates
*Salt and Pepper
*Corn Meal
*Vegetable Oil
*2 Eggs, beaten
Slice the tomatoes into 1/4-1/2 inch slices. Salt and pepper them to taste.
Dip slices in beaten egg, then in the corn meal.
Fry in hot oil about three minutes on each side until golden brown.

DAD'S WEDNESDAY ENTRY # THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-THREE

Good Morning.

I am hoping that all is going good with every one of my friends all around this wide world.. Mary Prince and I are doing very well. Things that have been in bad shape are slowly getting better. We have learned one thing through all of this that it takes patience, and lots of it to get through this life and if we have learned that , all is not lost.

I need to explain the picture above of the clouds , Jim knows that I like clouds and he and Beverly took three of our best friends friends to the lake for the day yesterday, they took their lunch and had a wonderful day, so that's where the picture came from. That is all the pictures that you are going to get from me. But I will tell you that they did come home with a few big fish and three big smiles. Mary and I talked to them on the cell phone while they were on the water on we could hear them all laughing and enjoying the day. Jim has really enjoyed his pontoon boat this year, he enjoys sharing it with others. Dad.

I've had both dogs working on getting all 4 paws in smaller and smaller containers. Every time we practice, all I can think about is the hokey pokey song....you put your right foot in, put your right foot out....especially with Oreo. He puts his back feet in/out so much, and seems to be having trouble holding the position. I'm hoping after his next trip to his Chiron he'll make some more progress.
Chewy, on the other hand, has done amazingly well! I'd like Chewy to get in one additional, smaller container, but here is where they are so far.

DADS MONDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY ONE

Good Morning

I know you very well and as I often say this you are wishing that I would be quiet and let you sleep just a little longer. Even if it is Monday we need to get on the job. That is the only way that we can pay the bills.

I must admit that Mary and I had one hectic week last week. so many different things happened all at once, the worst one was that our refrigerator when out on Saturday, no help on the weekend but we have been promised service this morning. You never realize how much you depend on it until its gone. That is true of so things in this life of ours.

Any way lets wake up and count our blessing , I know that you will be surprised. Dad

Considering all that happened to us last week I must say that I am feeling very well, and as always anxious to get out and play in the dirt, at least I am content and I do feel to be in a happy mood and able to relax. DADS SATURDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY

" Be true today, you may not have a tomorrow " DAD

Good morning.

This is one mornings that we all look forward to. We think of a few days of time to rest and relax and get renewed in Spirit and body, and the thought brings me my first smile of the day.

Through The Storms I did not know His love before, the way I know it now.
I could not see my need for Him, my pride would not allow.
I had it all, without a care, the Self-sufficient lie.
My path was smooth, my sea was still, not a cloud was in my sky.
I thought I knew His love for me, I thought I'd seen His grace,
I thought I did not need to grow, I thought I'd found my place.
But then the way grew rough and dark, the storm clouds quickly rolled;
The waves began to rock my ship, my anchor would not hold.
The ship that I had built myself was made of foolish pride.
It fell apart and left me bare, with nowhere else to hide.
I had no strength or faith to face the trials that lay ahead,
And so I simply prayed to Him and bowed my weary head.
His loving arms enveloped me, and then He helped me stand.
He said, You still must face this storm, but I will hold your hand.
So through the dark and lonely night He guided me through pain.
I could not see the light of day or when the storm might wane.
Yet through the aches and endless tears, my faith began to grow.
I could not see it at the time, but my light began to glow.
I saw God's love in brand new light, His grace and mercy, too.
For only when all self was gone could God's love shine through.
It was not easy in the storm, I sometimes wondered, Why
At times I thought, I can't go on. I'd hurt, and doubt, and cry.
But God never left my side, He guided me each day.
Through pain and strife, through fire and flood, He helped me all the way.
And now I see as never before how great His love can be.
How in my weakness He is strong, how God cares for me!
He worked it all out for my good, although the way was rough.
He only sent what I could bear, and then He cried, Enough!
He raised His hand and said, Be still! He made the storm clouds cease.
He opened up the gates of joy and flooded me with peace.
I saw His face now clearer still, I felt His presence strong,
I found anew His faithfulness, He never did me wrong.
Now I know more storms will come, but only for my good,
For pain and tears have helped me grow as naught else ever could.
I still have so much more to learn as God works in me;
If in the storm I'll love Him more, that's where I want to be!

Since this is Saturday I am not going to say very much about business, you hear enough of that all week long, you know that I sell a few books and try to sell advertising in this blog, nothing very big, I am just like a small fish in a very big pond. But I hope that I can keep on going. I know that I have the help of my many friends world wide.

Mary and I will be in our Sunday morning meeting. There is another meeting at 4 P M at Inspirit but we seldom get to go as it a little far for Mary to drive, and as you know Old Dad does not drive anymore.

DADS FRIDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TWENTY NINE

" Live for others every Day "

Good Morning.

I am going to ask how you are feeling on this Friday morning? I am feeling very good I think that I can say, I will tell you a little later after I have my Trucks x bold. It is ready and I am going to be sipping on it as I pick and peck on this Del, with one of my truest friends Prince looking on over my shoulder, he loves me whatever I do.

I do have a Doctors appointment at 8:30 A.M. this morning. I hope to be back soon, but you never know what he is going to find, I am at my age always looking for the worst. Dad.

We are still having lots of afternoon thunder showers, it sure helps in keeping that high heat wave down we have been having and it is good for the Tomatoes, Roses and the Smiles that I am trying to produce, it seems to help the Smiles most they produce much better in that cooler weather.

I am very proud of the three cameras above and I try to keep them in good working shape. At the present time camera # 2 needs adjusting very bad, I hope to get it in line soon. Do check them, you might happen catch Old Dad out there feeding the birds or checking on his tomatoes.

I must bring this to a close, I can see that I am not getting many smiles this morning , maybe a few grins, I have hopes for a better tomorrow. I really have enjoy my short visit, I wish that all of you could have had coffee with me, but we know that in not possible.

I am feeling good again this day, good sleep and facing a day that does not have very many things to do that I call work, working outside with my Tomatoes, Roses and Smiles, is not work to me it is my life, Not really my Life I want my main purpose in life is to do my best to keep true to God and to others. Our Bible study for this Wednesday night is Nehemiah chapter one, that is always the bright spot in this day for us.

Many of my friends are on vacation and don't get to comment as much as they would like to.

Here below is a note from my faithful friend Joan:

"Sorry I didn't find time to write earlier today. Our friends kept us very busy. We ended the day eating lobster outdoors overlooking the bay. A lovely evening after a hot humid day. Enjoy the photo of the sun setting over the bay while we ate the fresh cooked Lobsters.
Tomorrow a drive to Acadia park and then a hike along the carriage trail to Jordon pond. Northern Maine is so beautiful and so old fashion, so old America....friendly, safe, clean, slow pace...charming old houses with beautiful gardens with lots of lupine in shades of pink and lavender. I wish you could see it.
Hope the rains came and took the heat away so you can work in your garden tomorrow. Have a peaceful sleep. Good night...Joan"

Good Morning.

We made it through Monday fairly well and I believe that if we work at it we can have a good day. The temperature is starting out at 81 and it will be in the high 90s for today.

I have not made very many plans for today and I think that I will wait until I have had my coffee and see what the weather is like. I hear heavy thunder coming from the west at 5:52 this morning. I don't think that I will have any trouble finding something there is always something needing attention.
