Dads Tuesdays Entry Two Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Six

Coffee cup animation

Good  Morning.

“ Time is so precious- please do not waste it “

My thoughts before I was out of my bed this morning was about a little reader that I used in my first year of school . A few years ago I became interested in finding one of these readers, and one of my friends searched for one and it soon was mailed to me as a gift. The books tells about Baby Ray and his little dog Penny.

But why would this old 98 plus years man be having thoughts like this at 12:42 a.m. in the morning, about a book that I studied so many years ago.

I think that it was the impressions that some of the stories that we studied made on my young mind and some of them are sweet memories to me, and it brings to memory so many of my sweet teachers,

The story that came to my mind was titled “ A little Shepherd “

Here are just a line or so of the words.

“ Little Boy Blue, Come blow your horn.

The sheep are in the meadow The cows are in the corn Where is the little boy who looks after the sheep ?

He is under the haystack Fast asleep “

Now do you think that I have lost my mind ? This is always means of bringing back sweet memories, and I get help when I think of the thing that this that I can take as good advice over 90 years later sorry if I bored you, but I just had to tell you these things. DAD

I have had the Sumatra Starbuck x bold ready for a while, just got so busy that I forgot to pour you a cup. Sorry.

Our starting temp. is 37 degrees at the moment and  blue skies, looks like a good day to work, and there is more than enough for Mary and I to do.

Our Wildlife Habitat is needing attention very bad, and that is #1 on our plans for today

“When it comes to raising children,  believe in give and take. I give orders and they take them “

“ without enough sleep, we all become tall two year olds “

Isn't it funny how certain memories creep up on you? I remember my first grade reading book too. It was called "A Duck is a Duck". I had the most wonderful first grade teacher as well.

It is a bitter cold morning here today. I think we'll skip our morning walk today.

Good morning DAD....

You have all of us thinking about first grade experiences. There were 60+ boys and girls seated at small desk in very long narrow rows and the teacher was expected to teach all of them. Of course that was an impossible task and most of my reading lessons came from my Dad and my sister Betty...she was 11 and a wonderful teacher. Our readers were about Dick, Jane and Spot....maybe Betty remembers the cat's name.

It is sunny and cold as we drive towards Annapolis on our way to meet our grandsons at their bus stop in NJ. If time and weather permits we will take a walk in Annapolis or stop for a cup of Sumatra.

Enjoy your outdoor time. Seeing the results of your work will be so satisfying. Just don't over do it.

Dear Dad, Ms. Mary, and sweet, handsome Prince:

Hope your weather continues to be good and that you are able to do what needs to be done in your Wildlife Habitat to get it just how it should be. It's good that you have plenty of coffee to help you in your work ;) The eagles are out of the nest -- I always seem to check in when they're out these days! -- and I read about the changes in color they have as they mature.

It's nice and cool and cloudy again, which we're enjoying. Enjoy your day and evening! Sending love and PURRS from Jamaka and fams <3

HI DADm
We are having an electrical storm. It is bright and noisy and a bit frightening.
You are having hugs from your past. Isn't memory a wonderful thing!! Puff was a sweet kitty in our first reader. You had Baby Ray and we had Sally. You had Penny and we had Spot. The spark and joy of learning continues to light up our lives.
We enjoying starting our day with you. Have a good one. Aloha from HI.....Sara's aunt
