We did a lot of work on Saturday, got all the mulch spread and all the cages in place. Now we can sit back for a few weeks and dream about eating a big red ripe tomato.

If you have the time I hope that you will view my two Cams # 1 and 2. And look the tomato garden over from the two different views, and see if you can see the work that we have done. The link to these cams is in the side panel.

We are still enjoying warm weather, starting off this Monday morning at 3 A.M. the tempeature is 67 with a high of around 80 expected. It does mention showers in the afternoon. Sinc I have the tomato garden in good shape and all the weeds gone a good showere would not be bad. Anything that is good for the tomatoes pleases me.

September is a great time to visit Washington state.
That’s when Martin and Jennifer Ringhofer host TomatoFare.
The event was started as a way to revive tourism in the Soap Lake area.
Martin Ringhofer had started growing heirloom tomatoes after a serious illness. He felt that promoting the heirloom tomato would be a good way to leave his mark on the world.
As the website tells the story, “To further that goal, Ringhofer offered 900 free diverse heirloom tomato plants to gardeners in and around Soap Lake. His experience is that with proper fertilizer and water in the hot, arid environment around the lake, 36 plants can produce about 1,200 pounds of Read the rest of this entry »

Since this is Memorial Day I had planned to have a real short Entry. But when I get to talking about tomatoes it's hard for me too stop, but I am going to0 and talk about a hot cup of Tea or Starbucks coffee. It is all ready so stop in any time today. If you have time we will walk down to the garden. Dad.
