Good Morning.

I ask this question every morning and the answer is about the same every morning, " I will be fine after I have a cup of good hot strong coffee " and that is the way it is with me, I have considered trying some hot tea.

I am hearing some thunder in the distance here at 4;37 A.M. this morning, it looks like more rain.

I am getting started a little better this morning, a little early anyway. Maybe not any better.

The weather is always interesting to me, yesterday here at Dad's Tomato garden it got up to 96 degrees , here below is what is in store for us today. DAD.

That looks a little better to me, that 96 was a little to much and I don't think that the tomatoes liked it very much.

I am needing a cup of coffee and I smell it perking so I know that is just about ready. I am going to be looking at one of those books as I drink my coffee. I bought them both and am enjoying them. DAD'S TUESDAY ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHT

Good Morning,

I'm writing my Journal a bit later than usual. I had some more computer hang ups this morning, but I called AOL "help"  and the AOL technician was very helpful.

We had a great time yesterday. One of Mary's cousins and her husband are moving to Knoxville from Memphis.  They drove up from Memphis  on Monday. They had some business to take care of that day, so they came over in the afternoon. and they took us to the "Chop House" for supper. We had a great meal and visit.

For breakfast we had bacon and scrambled eggs, fresh strawberries etc. And of course, Starbucks coffee.

Now they are headed back to Memphis to finish up there .

I need to go down to my tomato garden to tie up some loose ends. So if you'll wait for me,  I will be right back.    Dad

Good Morning.

As you know this is my morning, glad to be out of that bed and do a little work outside early this morning. And I did want you to know that I am still alive and in the land of the living, early last night we had a prediction of a heavy dangerous storm headed our way but it did not arrive, I id hear some heavy thunder, and I do hear some at the moment 4:34 a.m. we have a lot of rain for the last few days and the Tomatoes are beginning to call for more sunshine.

We are expecting to receive shingles for our house today, it was damaged in the hail storm that hit us a few weeks ago, the same storm that destroyed most tomato crop.

" Time is so precious-do not waste it ''

Good morning to my friends all around this wide world. Another Saturday has slipped in upon us, and as i say above we sure don't want to waste any of it. I like this day because I get to rest tomorrow as I don't write a Journal on Sunday.

We try to use that day for something more important than Journals, Journals will pass away, but what God can give us is forever. I will be back here at Dad's Tomato Garden Journal Monday if all is well. Dad.

Today's weather June 16th 2011.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms. A few storms may be severe. High 87F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

In this part of the country there has been a lot of hay baling going on. We enjoy seeing the bales of hay in the fields as they make a very pretty scene. And we know they will help feed the livestock when winter rolls around. It reminds us we need to be prepared for the future.

In the right panel above are the picture of the two books by Vic Weals that are on sale. I have both of those and I am enjoying looking them over as I drink my x bold coffee. Vick sure knows how to write about these Smoky Mountains and the people that lived there that he loved so much, it makes you feel that you are right there with him.

Good Morning.

How is every one this morning? It's Friday again. This is the day that the mist of us love, we know that our weekend is getting close and we are very happy for that, A time of relaxing our Soul and body. And then we will be able to start the next week in a much better way, DAD.

With us tomato growers the weather report is always interesting to us, and the one above pleases  me hot and a little rain. My small patch of tomatoes are looking good, plenty of blooms and  few little green tomatoes looking out at me. I am running at least 30 days late because of the hail storm that hit us hard. But I am going to hang in there and have all the patience that I can. I also produce Smiles and you know that the hail did not bother them, the are still going around this world, you must help me keep it going.

Fishing
My son, Jim, had a good day on the lake yesterday. He and his buddies fished on South Holston Lake for Lake Trout. They had their limit of six fish before lunch. The largest was a little over 5 lbs. Jim said the stringer weighed over 21 pounds. Here’s Jim with the catch. He said they caught the fish at depths up to 70 feet deep!
