ENTRY # SIXTEEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SIX

The Kneeling Camel

The camel at the close of day,
Kneels down upon the sandy plain,
To have his burden lifted off,
And rest again.
My soul, I too shouldst to my knees,
When daylight draweth to a close,
And let my Master lift my load,
And grant repose.
Else how canst I tomorrow meet,
With all tomorrow's work to do.
If I, my burden all the night,
Doth carry through?
The camel kneels at break of day,
To have his guide replace his load.
Then rises up anew to take,
The desert road.
So I shouldst kneel at morning dawn,
That God may give my daily care,
Assured that He no load too great,
Will make me bear.

.
We had a visit with Mary's doctor yesterday morning, We are hopeful that the things that he changed will be helpful. Mary and I both have good doctors and we do trust and appreciate them. I have not talked to
Mary yet this morning, when I do if there is any changes I will let you know. I am going to let her sleep a little later this morning. Dad.

" Ceremonies are different in every country, but true kindness, politeness and Love for others is everywhere the same ,in all countries around the world."
.
And this,
.
" Keep your enthusisams, , and forget your birthdays--formula for youth."
.
These two different thoughts are from Apples of Gold.

Hope Mary starts to feeling better and I hope you feel better as the day goes on, too, Dad. That sunshine can work wonders on body and mind.

Hello Dad, I hope that Mary is feeling better today. I had jury duty this morning and wasn't picked so I got out of there earlier than I thought. It is a nice to day to have off though. It is supposed to be in the 60's here today so I am looking forward to that. Have a wonderful weekend. Linda

You asked why we read... I can only speak for myself. I read because your message is always inspiring, and I read because it's kind of like having my own dad back with me, even though he's been gone for 20 years, and most of all, I read because you are a very special man and I love you and care about you... even though we've never met. Your heart shines through in your journal, and it is a beautiful heart.

Dear Dad and Ms. Mary:

Well, I was going to say, "Probably because we LOVE you, Dad, and you give us something that's pretty hard to find anywhere else!" but your friend Becky said it even better; I echo her thoughts except that my dad's only been away for just shy of eight months -- doesn't seem possible it's been that long.

I hope Ms. Mary is feeling a lot better and I'm very glad you both have good and trusted doctors. That is so important!

I saw an eagle in the nest, even though it's dark now...and I saw some cars driving near your house. :)

Have a comfortable and peaceful evening, and I look forward to checking in again tomorrow. Love and hugs to you both, Jamaka and fams
