The tomato plants are growing well. The ground is so wet that is is hard too get a good picture, a few days and a lot of sun and hot weather will change the looks of these plants. I don't like the spinley look of this plant.

There’s a lot of terms to learn when you venture into the world of tomatoes.
You have to learn the difference between determinate and indeterminate, try to figure out what VFN means, and debate the merits of hybrid versus heirloom.
When you are picking out the varieties of tomatoes you would like to grow, it is important to determine the size of tomato you would like to harvest. Are you looking for bite size morsels or large tomatoes to slice for sandwiches?
Here are the most common tomato types you will come across while poring over seed catalogs or visiting the local nursery:
Currant
These are the smallest tomatoes - about the size of a pea. These tiny bursts of goodness are good for garnishing, salads, and for amusing children.

Now, take a look at the picture below and tell me what kind of a mushroom that you think it is. It measures about 3 X 4 inches. We can't see a stem on it. It is growing about 10 feet from the side of the tomato garden. Dad.
Right now at 3:a.m. here in the Tennessee valley the tempeature is 62, the weather report mentions sun but it also mentions thunderstorms in the afternoon. I am becomming a little worried about the tomatoes, it is impossible to give them the care that I usually do, Not any chance to feed them and keep those weed away, but you can't work in the mud. We hope that things will change soon.

Why don't we have a good hot drink, tea or coffee, they are both ready and I am anxious to pour, sit down and tell me about your weekend.

The Cam too the Eagles Eagle Web Cam has been out of order for several days now. They hope to have it back in service soon.
So you see that Dad is not the only one that has trouble with Cams, the two that I have showing the tomatoe garden do require a lot of maintence to keep them working, but we feel that it is worth it and we plan to continue.

Here is my thought for us too begin the week with, let's think about it a little before we start out this morning. DAD.
" Each new day is an opportunity to start all over again... to cleanse our minds and hearts anew and to clarify our vision. And let us not clutter up today with the leavings of other days."
Doing this will bring us a lot of peace. Dad.

Thirty five years ago today was a very sad day for the three of us, Dad, Jim and Mary. This was the day of LaVerne's funeral. We miss her Smile and Kindnes so much, but thought of her do help us to keep on going. Dad.

This is all that I am going to have for today, I hope to see you again in the morning if my life is spared. I hope that the day goes good for you, keep smiling and being good to ever one that you are with today, and I know that will make it be a better Day.

Good afternoon Dad. :) I have missed you SO much. I am glad to be back in the loop of blogs again. The computer had a virus on it, but Ian got it all fixed up. I am here to tell you, we are going to have to go into the mud business instead of the tomato and chicken business. There has to be a market for mud right??? ;) I am trying to keep my spirits up about this weather. After all, at least it isnt cold anymore. It is very soggy and messy out though. I want it to dry up some so when you and Mary come it will be nice and y'all can come and walk around and visit with all the animals. Right now you would have to wear mud boots in some places. This is the wettest its been in a long time isnt it. I hope your sadness will pass and the memories of Laverne will make you smile and try and be happy about her life, and not dwell on her death too much. That is a very good Thought For The Day, Dad. I hope your weather will improve quickly so you can get out and work in the tomato garden. Your rose photo is beautiful -- a rose for your beloved, who even though she had to leave this earth, is always with you, yes?
Visited my folks yesterday and also, the air force museum across the road. Very interesting and informative. Had a feast at the restaurant where I had my folks' memorial banquet last year, too. We had some mushrooms, but none that looked like that one in your photo. That looks to be a No-Eat-Em. ;)

I have no doubt that Miss Laverne and my Danny are sitting in Heaven watching over me and you and all their loved ones... and one happy day we will all be together again!
W are getting lots of rain here too, but my tomatoes are in pots so I have it easier getting to them.
