Hi Uncle Ray,
It is a good Saturday morning here in West Tennessee too. Next weekend, Shawn will fly in from New York; so I am getting ready for his visit.
Have a great day! We love you, Karen
Good Morning DAD...
Enjoying another cup of coffee with you. Some afternoon we will have to share a cup of Campbell's Tomato Soup. I remember my sister (the one in Hawaii now) making me tomato soup for my lunch. And mother taught me how to draw the little Campbell Kid...she said we looked alike with our round faces. Philadelphia, where I grew up, is right across the river from Camden, NJ home to Campbell soup and many people who lived in Philly took the train across the bridge to work at the Campbell soup factory. Every summer we went to the south Jersey shore for a week and we would pass, field after field after field of tomato plants with the migrant workers out picking the tomatoes for Campbells. Jersy tomatoes are still the best tasting ones..and Camden knew it way back when. Most of those fields are now housing or shopping centers, wonder where Campbell grows it tomatoes today. I might just have to have a cup of that "MM,MM Good" soup today!
Have a wonderful weekend. ...Sara's Mom
Good Morning Dad & Mary,
I hope you both have a wonderful & warm day!
Dear Dad and Ms. Mary:
Sorry for checking in so LATE again!!! I know that vintage LOOK had to be interesting all the way through, and the tomatoes were the crowning glory....It's been raining all night and day here, which I love and we need! so I'm making soup tonight which will last for the next few nights' dinner. The base will, of course, be TOMATOES. ;)
Wishing you both a wonderful evening and a blessed day tomorrow, with safe journeys. Love from Jamaka and fams
Dad, I know you grow super delicious tomatoes, but there is absolutely nothing to compare with a Jersey Tomato. One summer when we were visiting my Mother, my cousin invited us for a crown roast dinner. I tried one of his tomatoes and then made a meal of tomatoes.
They were the real thing and I hadn't had one in years. Camden is now the #1 crime city in America. I wish Campbell Soup had stayed in the area. Sara's aunt
