WEDNESDAY'S ENTRY TWO THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FOUR

" Time is so precious_ do not waste any of it"
.
Good Morning
.
How are things at your house this morning? Every thing was fine here until I looked at the temperature at 3 a.m. it was 13 degrees, now that is cold. I am trying to produce Smiles and Tomatoes and what can I do in this kind of weather, maybe this poem by Edgar and a few things that I have down below might help. But I am running a little late and all mixed up, I don't know if I have what I want on this journal this morning, DAD

The Cheat

.
By Edgar Guest
.
I cheated a good friend yesterday,
Kept what was his, and went my way,
Wronged him by silence-for in haste
I let a glad thought go to waste.
I had a word of cheer to speak,
To strengthen him when he grew weak,
To send him smiling on his way -
But what I thought I didn't say.
He would have richer been to know
That deed of his had pleased me so,
But oh, I failed to let him see
ow much his conquest meant to me.
I cheated him of words of praise
Which would have cheered his troubled days;
In this a faithful friend I wronged,
By keeping what to him belonged.
The praise was his by right to hear,
To him belonged my word of cheer;
In silence, though, from him I turned
And cheated him of what he'd earned.

Good morning Dad, it is 11 degrees on my thermometer. Brrrr.

We have a beautiful couple inches of snow in the yard, which is making the dogs quite happy. They love to stick their noses in it and hunt for....well, I'm not sure what they're actually looking for. Grass?

Stay warm!

Hi DAD,
After reading Edgar Guest poem, I though I must send DAD a smile. Each morning you send us good thoughts and kind words. The CAMS are working and the birds are fed. The coffee is ready and poured. Thank you big! This morning I received a photo of a snowflake. It is labeled: Frosty's baby picture. Then, on Sara's blog I saw pawprints in the snow. Maybe next week when I am in Philly. I'll get to experience the real thing. Have a lovely day!
Aloha....Sara's aunt

Dear Dad, Ms. Mary, and sweet Prince Charming:

Hope you have a lot of warm blankets and throws and a big pot of coffee to stay warm! Of course, when you have a sweet kitten like Prince to keep you warm, you're bound to SMILE ;)

Wishing you all a comfortable and warm afternoon and evening -- love, Jamaka and fams <3

Hi Dad, I have to chime in with Sara's aunt and take a moment again to tell you how much it means to check in with you. It brings a real joy and peace to my life to read your words and get a sense of what a peaceful man you are. SO THANK YOU, Dad, you are a wonderful and giving person to share yourself this way. Stay warm.

Good Night DAD...

I spent this very cold day in NYC. Travelled with a very dear friend who never cheats a friend of praise and hugs. Seeing the tree with thousand of lights in Rockefeller Center and the windows of Macy's, Lord & Taylor, and Sak decorated and animated, we felt the joy of childhood again.

Though exhausted, I had to come by to check in and make sure you were smiling and feeling good today. And I am so happy to read that others find joy and peace in their visits with you. You are a very special gentleman. See you in the morning. ...Sara's Mom
