.Thanks to all of you for your Kindness and the good wishes that you sent me. I am ready now to settle down to a simple life. And get back to doing what I like best trying to help others to smile and be happy that I meet each day.

I hope that you all enjoyed having Misty with us over the labor day as much as I did. She is back home this morning. She is a very sweet girl.

.I do have several things planned to do begining today. I have a large tree in the side yard that has died and it has to come down. It is going to be a big and costly job but it has to come down.

. And my # 3 cam is supposed to arrive today, Pamela and Michael will be letting me know when they will be here to install it.

. I do have a thought for today that I will show you later, I did not get the video finished in time.

Above is Misty, Sara's Sheltie. I think that she so sweet. I want to thank Sara for letting her come and visit us. She will be with us all day Labor day. Just look at those eyes, I wonder what she is thinking. I wish that she could write her memoirs. One thing that I know she would be telling is how glad she is that she belongs to Sara. I want to tell Misty right here that it is not so bad getting older, we have so many sweet memories of the past, I know Misty because I am there myself DAD.

I Wonder Where They Are Tonight

When it’s cold and dark and deep,
I wonder where the squirrels sleep.
Are they safe and warm and sound,

When night shades have fallen down?

I wonder if the birds are warm,
If perchance ‘twould come a storm,
I hope that they can safely rest,

In their leafy little nest.

I look out on that cold, dark sight,
God knows where they are tonight!
His loving hand He gently sends,

And then He safely tucks them in.

I am a good example of this thought for today. When I first started this blog over 6 years ago and saw a few bloggers with Cams, (I think that Deb was one) I told Mary that is what I want and then I will be satisfied. Well I got one and it was not long until I wanted another one and I told her that's all I want, But this coming week Michael and Pamela are going to be installing my third cam. So you see what I mean. Right this moment I am saying that this will be the last one but you never know. DAD.

My Daughter Mary writes poetry, and she gave me permission to show you this one today She composed this soon after her mother passed away. She is still writing and I am trying to get her to give me at least one each week for this blog. I hope that she says yes. Dad.

Snowflakes and Dear Ones
.
Gentle snowflakes fall upon me,
Melting fast upon my face,
There’s no way that I can keep them,
If in my heart they have no place.

Very fragile, very special,
Are these snowflakes from the sky
They remind me of my dear ones,
As they gracefully flutter by.

Scarcely do I see their beauty,
Barely do their rare imprints
Fix themselves upon my fingers,
Till I’m wondering where they went.

In this world so temporary,
Filled with ephemeral things,
Surely everything is fleeting,
Flying ‘way on speeding wings.

Like the snowflakes that are melting,
When they touch my skin so warm,
Yes, myself, my friends, my family,
We’re on that solemn journey home.

Snowflakes can’t be kept in bottles,
You can’t grasp them as they fly,
You just have to dearly love them,
As they slowly flutter by.

We cannot keep what can’t be held,
And just as snowflakes disappear,
Often on life’s lonely landscape
We’re deprived of what is dear.

Yet no one really leaves us,

And that is where we want to be early this morning We need to see what Misty, Oreo and Sara are doing. They have brought a lot of smiles to my face and I am sure that they will do the same for you.

As you may remember I have a neice who writes a blog. BrushStrokes and this picture above is somethng that I received from her a few days ago. I will have a better picture of this later and more information about it. I do have some good news about the other Cam that I am getting soon. My good friends Pamela and Michael sent me an e mail yesterday. It will be ready in about a week. These two friends are the ones that have made my cams possible, they have a web page that you will enjoy, Record Relics THANKS Pamela and Michael. DAD.

This cam will be Dad's Roving Cam # 3. I will be showing close up pictures from all over the WILDLIFE HABITAT. I hope that it all works out well. DAD.

Here above is my thought for today. I am going to do my best today to do this so that I can have a good day. DAD

How are you all feeling today? I am feeling better than usual I think. Maybe its because that I had a lot of good rest yesterday. And I also got a lot of "loose ends" tied up as they say. My friend Ted who lives next door came over in the afternoon and helped me do a few things that I could not do alone. I depend a lot on Ted, he watches over me like a good friend. DAD.

I am headed right now to Sara's Dog Training Blog. I clicked on the link and here I am. I always like to check in on them early and see how things are going. With Sara watching over them I am sure all is well. It has been a great pleasure to me to get to see what these two Shelties have done. I was so glad to see Misty doing some training yesterday, she is so sweet. I know how she feels a little like old Dad, getting older.

Watching them has caused me to want to own another Sheltie before I leave this world. DAD

Let’s get this cleared up right now: the late blight is not the fault of the tomatoes, heirloom or hybrid.
Nor is it the fault of the home gardeners who are trying to distance themselves, even just a little, from the corporate food grid.

And it’s only kind of the fault of the big box plant brokers who sold the infected plants.
No, the bulk of the blame for the epidemic of late blight this growing season belongs squarely where the blame for epidemics nearly always belongs: Mama Nature. We had a cool, wet spring and early summer, and the blight just loved it. Hey, it happens.
