Good Morning.

Did you ever see a Tomato smile ? Well I did Wednesday evening. We had wonderful and badly needed rain. It was first predicted to be a sevier storm with large hail but when it reached Dads Tomato Garden it was a gentle rain with some wind, it rained for abou three hours, now you can see why my Tomatoes Smiled.

When Oreo and I started to learn agility, I taught him mostly through play with a toy.He still loves to play agility for toys at home. I wanted Chewy to learn the same way. Agility should be a game right? Here is me attempting to get Chewy to chase his ball through a tunnel. I think he thought the tunnel was slowing him down,so he went around it a few times instead. He also sunk his razor teeth into my hand, instead of the ball. Ouch! click below and enjoy. Dad.

I hope that all is well at your part of the world this morning. I had a wonderful rest last night and I am ready to get out and get my hands dirty. We have been promised rain and I hope that it gets here.

Her eyes are beautiful. Most babies measuring 5 ft. would be considered big, but newborn giraffe, Margaret, at Chester Zoo, U.K., is seen as unusually small for her species. She is one of the smallest giraffes ever born at Chester Zoo but pint-sized Margaret will soon be an animal to look up to.

Little Margaret, who is the first female Rothschild giraffe born at the zoo, is being hand-reared by her dedicated keepers.

The first calf for six-year-old mum Fay, Margaret, who was born two weeks early, tipped the scales at just 34 kilos (75 lbs.) and is a mere 5 ft. tall.

Tim Rowland's, team leader of the Giraffes section, said: 'Margaret is one of the smallest giraffe calves we have ever seen.

Fay isn't the largest of giraffes and Margaret was also early which might go some way to explaining her size.

'Margaret was having difficulty suckling so our keeper team are now hand-rearing her.

My tomato patch is very small but I am just as proud of them as I was of the near 100 plants that I had last season.

Good Morning

When Friday arrives we are all Happy, we know that our two rest days are getting close and we begin to smile and relax a little, When I was young I did not appreciate these rest days as much as I do since I am getting older, and I am trying to take advantage of every one of them.

I hope that all of my friends are getting out of their bed with a big Smile on your face, the saying is " Smile and the world Smiles with you, Cry and you cry alone"
I don't think that is really right, not in my case anyway, I have friends that have Cried with me, I did not have to Cry alone.

A Funny Tomato Garden Story:

An elderly gentleman lived alone in New Jersey . He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard.His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:Dear Vincent,I am feeling pretty sad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.Love,Papa A few days later he received a letter from his son.Dear Papa,Don't dig up that garden. At 5:42 a.m. it is 71 degrees and we expect a high of 95 this afternoon, a good time to be inside and taking one of those short naps.
