Here below is a little news about the eagles. Dad.

One of the juvenile eagles continues to stay relatively close to home. Azalea (band HH) is still spending her time in and around the area of the Norfolk Botanical Garden. She can still be seen on camera, perching in the nest area. As of yesterday she was still being fed in the nest by the adults.
She is widening the area over which she wanders and is spending her nights in various trees in the "brush dump" area of the Garden as can be seen on her EagleTrak page. Once Azalea begins to wander over a wider area, her transmitter will begin to record increasingly valuable data in regards to juveline dispersal and important habitat for eagles. Neither of Azalea's siblings HK and HE, have been seen since July 27th and both appear to have dispersed.

I am proud to have a sign on my lawn saying that my property is certified as a WILDLIFE HABITAT. I love birds and all other wildlife. And I hope that I can do a good job of keeping them in feed, water, nesting boxes and a place to rest in the large trees that are near the tomato garden, You may see just a little of what I am trying to do on DAD'S OUTDOOR WEB CAM # 2 . After these tomato vines are removed there will be some changes made.DAD.

I don't want to miss Oreo and Misty this morning. I like to check on them each morning and see how they are doing. Sara you do an execlent job. I don't think that I need to introduce this smiling young man above. But I will tell you that he is my son, the best son that I have. He dont seem to care much about fishing but he said" somebody has to do it." Someone said that when the fish hear Jim's name mentioned that they tremble. You will remember that he is the one who writes Tennessee Granddaddy six days each week. If you have not been reading it you should look at it if you need to smile. DAD.

We have been having a lot of rain. Since midnight 1:39 inche have fell and it is still falling gently here in the Tennessee Valley. Here is what AOL says is going to happen today.

Hi Wendy.

How old are your plants? Are they determinate or indeterminate?
I’d want to figure out what is going on with your plant first. Are the leaves turning any color or just shriveling up?
Where is the new growth? Has it been raining a lot? Do you see any signs of insects?

"These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago in Nashville. The gardener is my father, Jim . He is 83 years old and says these plants are the best looking ones he has had in many years. He also has cucumbers, peppers and flowers! The garden is in his back yard." (From Michael)

Michael and Pamala my two good friends sent me the pictures above that I appreciate very much. Michael explains in the caption that this is his Dad. He is going to bring him to see us very soon. Our Tennessee weather is staying just about the same. It was a little cooler yesterday. This morning it is starting out at 67 and the high will be in the high eightes or maybe a little higher. It feels very good to me. The tomatoes are doing very good view them on Cam # 2 when you have the time.

I don't know what to say about the eagles, they are still around and they seem to be doing very good to me from what I saw yesterday. We better let someone who knows tell us what is going on. Click on Eagle Web Cam and I will go with you up and see what it looks like this morning.

We had a nice day on Friday, warm and sunny most of the day. But around 6 P.M. we did have a heavy thunder Storm. Lots of rain, high wind and thunder.
It is looking a little bettter here on Saturday, our tempeature at 3 A.M. is 65 and maybe a little sun today.

I visited the Eagle Web Cam several times yesterday but I did not find them at home but one time. They did look and act happy. I do hope that you will be able to see them over the week end.

We have not seen Glen in Australia in a few weeks, this long wekend would be a good time to visit with him. He has lots to show and tell you. If you will tell him that Dad sent you I am sure that he will let you in.

My two cams # 1 & 2 and the cam to the eagles are all working right now here at 3 A.M. I hope that they will continue over the weekend. I will try to check on them and keep them going. The Cams do take a lot of care, but I feel like that they are worth the trouble. The links to all three of these are over in the sidepanel. GOOD MORNING,

When you read this it will be Wednesday morning, March 18. However, I am at Starbucks writing this paragraph at 4 PM Tuesday!Mary and I came up for a cup of coffee and guess what we got to go along with it? An Orange-cranberry Scone. As you would know Starbucks has the wi-fi service, so we are trying it out. Mary had her laptop computer with her.

Sure enough you are reading this on Wednesday morning, 3/18/09. at 3 a.m. in the morning. We just want'ed to get out a little while yesterday afternoon and enjoy the beautiful sunshine, and you see where we ended up , it's hard to pass up a Starbucks store. Yesterday was a very beautiful day, near 70 and all day the sun was shining.

The tempeature is starting off at 50 degrees and I think that the sun will be back with us to day.
