WEDNESDAY'S ENTRY # TWO THOUSAND NINTEEN

Good Morning.

Some one sent this to me yesterday, I think that it is so good so I wanted you to see it. Things that cause us to think of God are good for us, reminds us to think of all the wonderful things that he has given us and it might help us to stop complaining so much, and give thanks to Him.

I hope that you are feeling good today, it may be a little chilly early this morning, 24 right now but we do expect a good working day. And I am anxious to get started this morning.

Even though I am feeling good there are two things that will make me feel even better, one is to go to Sara's Dog Training blog and find out all I can about Sara and Oreo,I just know that I will get a good report. And the other one is a cup of that Sumatra x bold Starbucks coffee. Now you better stay out of my way or you might get run over by old Dad this morning.

I am expecting to get my tomato garden spot in good shape today. Because of the small size ( big enough 100 plants) we do the job with a tiller. The man that does this has a large tiller and it goes deep and leaves me a nice soft soil to work in when those plants get here from Burpee. Am I smiling ?

" Time is so precious-do not waste it"

Good Morning.

I hope that you are feeling good on this Wednesday morning. I am still doing good, still in a happy mood. Nothing does me more good than to be able to sit down here and do what I love to do best, that is tell you how to produce a good tomato, I have added two more things to that now, roses and smiles. I do not want any honor from any one as the best or largest blog in the world because I am not. I am just an old man trying to do what is right and enjoy life and help you do the same.

I received this comment last night and I want to thank Scott for it. Dad

Good Morning. .

How are you feeling on this Wednesday morning ? I hope that all is well with you, I will let you know about old Dad after I have had my Sumatra-x bold coffee, I can't think very well until I have had that. Tonight is our bible study night, we are studying James the 1st chapter. We value our bible studies and do our best to always be there, it helps us to keep on going until Sunday.

Well, trick training time, has turned into workout time. Misty has been getting stronger, and as a result, so has Oreo. Once the physio ball is out, he demands equal time.Ball work is how we start each morning, and Misty has made tremendous gains in strength. Unfortunately, she still lacks confidence on top of the ball, so most of our work is done with her two front paws up on the ball. I do put her on the ball each session, with hopes she will be able to do "real" ball work soon.The instructional video does say that some dogs take longer to get used to the ball, and I guess Misty is one of those dogs.Ergo, no trick this week, but if you want to see Misty doing some of her ball work, watch this video. It's really boring, and I recorded it more for me. I wish I had a "before" video from our first session, because, boy, is there a huge difference in her legs.This morning, Misty did stand on top of the ball for a few seconds all by herself! Again, a big change from how she looks at the end of this video, which I shot on Saturday.http://vimeo.com/18030396

Good Morning.

Wednesday has arrived and we are doing very good I think. I just have to say something about my new schedule, it is wonderful, I feel like a new man, I am here this morning a 3 A.M full of pep and ready to go out and face this cold cruel world, and with help from above I know that I can have a good day. At the top of this journal it says " Begin the day with God." and that is what we all must do.
.
Now may I ask about you , what is your mood this morning, I just know that you are going to say HAPPY and you know that is what I want to hear you say, when my friends are happy it helps me to be happy, and that is what it is all about , life is too short to go around worrying about every little thing that comes our way, just smile and let the world know that you are happy.

I had a little spare time yesterday and instead of taking a nap I decided to look at my three out door cams below..

Dad's Outdoor Web Cam #3 . And this is the favorite of many, showing some of my Wildlife Habitat feeders and fountain. Many birds feeding up close where you can tell what kind they are....I hope that you can enjoy these as much as I have. They had a bad day yesterday, rain most of the day DAD.

I have not said very much about tomatoes yet this morning, I think that I will let Dad's Tomato Garden Web Page tell you, he can do a better job than I can, but I will say this, I am going to have a larger garden than last year, and a cam. to watch over them.

ENTRY # SEVENTEEN HUNDRED & SEVENTY FIVE

This Sunflower is growing in my tomato garden, close to a tomato plant. I did not plant this, the birds that I feed done that for me. Dad.

I was walking through my tomato garden last evening around 8 p.m. and this is what I saw. When I see the tomatoe plants looking like this I cannot keep from snapping a picture. I always carry my little camera in my shirt pocket.

Useing lot's of mulch and controlled watering has kept the blight down this year. You can see that there is not very much on these plants above. Dad.

“I have a quick question. I haven’t heard of anyone doing this, so there must be a reason. But maybe I don’t know.
We have a daylight basement with lots of southern-facing windows. I would like to grow fresh “garden” food down there in the winter. We live in eastern Oregon (the dry side of the state.) Winter daylight is as little as 8-10 hours in the dead of winter
Does anyone know if one can be successful growing tomatoes in this kind of an inside garden in the winter? If this is possible, are there other fresh-type fruits or vegetables that would be successful for winter indoor-gardening as well?

Hi Patt! Growing vegetables like you describe can be done…though you would likely need to add in some additional grow lights to the room, as well as make sure the room was kept warm enough.
