DADS MONDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FIFTY

Good Morning.

How are you feeling on this nice Monday morning. I am feeling very good this morning, and able to get outside a little this morning and see what is going on. I hope that you are doing well in getting ready for your day.

Even though Mary and I did not get to be in our Sunday morning meeting we did have a few things happen during the afternoon that helped us, the best one of them was to have Jim and Beverly spend the afternoon with us. That pleased Prince so much he loves them and enjoys their visits as much as we do.

Today

Slight chance of a thunderstorm. Near record high temperatures. High 36C. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

Some clouds and possibly an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon. Near record high temperatures. Heat index near 110F. High 97F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

You might get a glimpse of Mary or I riding around the tomato garden and Wildlife Habitat today on our golf cart, It has been several days since I have been near the patio where I love to sit and mediate and watch some of the birds , squirrels and other wildlife that God has made for our enjoyment.I hope to spend a lot of my time there today. In my part of the world 37920 the tomato season is very fast coming to a close, so I will need to find something to talk about, what above Smiles, you know that there are no season on them and I do love to produce SMILES Dad

DAD'S SATURDAY'S ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FORTY NINE

" Begin , Continue and Finish every day of your life with God "  " Time is so precious-do not waste it "

Good Morning

I am sure that you remember that Dad is a Saturday morning man, I love these Saturday  mornings they remind me of Relaxing and Restoring and I feel the need of that, read Psalm 51 and see what David said about that.

Even though I am feeling some better I am not going to let myself go wild, this weekend. After all my new treatments begin on Wednesday August the 10th. I do plan to stay quiet and close to Dads house. I believe that they will be seeing me each week from this unit for a while

I would like to say that Mercy Hospital has been so kind and good to Dad, gave me a lot more than I deserve. I also very much appreciate my wonderful doctors, Dr. Wooten, Dr. Gilley, and Dr. Sandberg.

And the kind and helping hand of the Nurses that come to my home each week to assist Mary and I. They are wonderful and I hope that some of you are reading this because I want to say THANK YOU. DAD

It is now 6:07 Saturday, I am not going to add any more to this. but to say again that I love you and if all is well I do want to be back talking to you Monday. I do feel some better.

I am not going to be in our Sunday morning meeting tomorrow, I am going to miss that so much, but I am glad for the hope that I have that I  will soon see  a better day .DAD

DADS FRIDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY EIGHT

" August 10th starting  new treatment- Smile "  DAD

Good Morning

I am sure that Mary has already told  you enough about what is going on with my treatment, Maybe we can talk about other  things today, but I must say that I am excited, On Wednesday morning, I will be there with a lot of confidence.

I am expecting my golf cart to be returned today with 8 new batteries, now I will be able to get to the tomato garden with ease, my feet never touching the ground, sit and watch the fountain and Wildlife Habitat, now who is smiling. DAD.

Since this is my first journal after being sick, I am going   little slow for a few days. I may be in and out a little today. I am so glad to be back, I missed you. Pour your self a cup of x bold it's ready.

DADS THURSDAY'S ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FORTY SEVEN

" Living  every day in Hope " Dad.

Hi to everyone. This is Mary writing with an update on Dad.

I think most of you knew that Dad has been having a lot of trouble with his feet and legs. Mainly on the left side where the blood clot was that went to the lungs a few years ago.

I took Dad to the Foot Doctor this a.m. for his latest appointment. He said the wound is not healing like he would like it to, so he made Dad an appointment to start going to the Wound Care Center as an out patient. He said they can prescribe medications that he doesn't have access to from the doctors  office. He'll go once a week, and the Home Health nurses will continue to come here 2 or 3 days a week to wrap his foot and keep tabs on how things are going. They feared that the infection would go to the bone, but did x-rays and says it has not so we are glad to know that. 

He wasn't able to go in for Bible Study last night and that is definitely a first. He stayed in bed all day yesterday and that is a first, too.

But things are looking up.

Good morning.

I would like to write a journal  this morning but that  is not possible. My main Doctor wants me in his office at 10 a.am. this morning. I have no idea what he is going to tell me, but I have prepares myself to accept it.

I just want to tell all of you that I love you and will be thinking of you today.

PRAYER.

I met God in the morning,

When my day was at its best;And his presence came like sunrise,


With a glory in my breast.

All day long the Presence lingered, All day long he stayed with me;

And we sailed in perfect calmness,

O'er a very troubled sea.

Other ships were blown and battered,

Other ships were sore distressed,

But the wind that seemed to drive them,

Then I thought of other mornings,

With a keen remorse of mind,

When I , too, had loosed the moorings,

With the Presence left behind.

So I think I know the secret,

You must seek him in the morning,

I hope that all my friends are up and feeling good and looking to have a good day at the workplace today, We don't very many plans for today made yet this morning, my foot condition has a lot to do with that, it was giving me a lot of pain last night but after Mary dressed it is feeling much better right now at 5;06 on this Wednesday morning. But regardless of that we will both be in our Bible study tonight which is Nehemiah chapters 5 and 6. The meeting is in our home tonight.

Good Morning.


How are things in your part of the world , things are a little better. I am out of bed needing coffee and after I have that there is a chance of a fair day here. we do need to check on the weather here at 37920 and see what we can expect.

That looks good to me as I don't plan on being outside very much today, My left leg is still giving me trouble, maybe a slight improvement and the doctor wants me to keep off of it as much as possible. More naps I guess, I am really getting tired of naps I need to do some real work again. DAD

    DADS MONDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FORTY FOUR

    Good Morning.

    It looks like a good day , and as you are aware of these Mondays seem the best for me. Am I crazy?

    Mary and I did have a nice restful week, we were in our meeting and did  receive some  encouragement there. It is so nice to be able to rest and relax and count your blessings

    One of the reasons that I like Monday is that I get restless  from sitting so much and I am happy when I can get outside again, and also is kind of a habit from my young days at home when I was young my brother and I had the job of sweeping  the floors and building a fire in a big pot bellied  when needed and the teacher wanted every thing just right on Monday morning.

    Mainly sunny. Hot. High 34C. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph.
