Tuesday Morning

This is Jim writing.

Dad is in the hospital. Here’s what happened.  Yesterday morning around 3:30 AM (just after Dad had posted his blog) he was sitting on the edge of the bed and slid off onto the floor. He hit the floor with a bump. We called 911 a little later and got him to the hospital where the X-ray showed a broken right hip joint. Monday was a stressful day for Dad and the whole family. But by the end of the day he was in a room and resting with the aid of some pain meds.

Today they plan to repair his hip with surgery. Dad is in good spirits. We are all hoping and praying that the surgery will be a success and give Dad the opportunity to continue to grow tomatoes and write his blog.

Please send your Dad some smiles from me, Oreo and Chewy. I hope the surgery goes well, and will be thinking him today.

Take care and keep us posted.

DAD may not be Smiling right now but I am certain he has all the staff on the Ortho Unit at the hospial smiling. Soon they will be reading his book and by summer they will be receiving some delicious tomatoes.

Do tell DAD that I am sending him SMILES and gentle hugs and wishing him a complete recovery.

Dad, your fans have prayers and smiles that are circling the globe to reach you. We hope the repair is completed and that you are now resting and healing. Jim, thanks for being up real early to post the news. Please let DAD know that we are with him in spirit. I wish I could come over and water the tomatoes and refill the birdfeeders. Once Dad is feeling chipper, he will be wanting to do it himself. Aloha from HI....Sara's aunt.

Nancy said it better than I could.
And all of the other posters' thoughts echo mine. *PRAYERS* for Dad! and for you all, his loving family, especially Ms. Mary and sweet Prince who are there by his side every day. I guess Ms. Mary will be coming home if she hasn't made it already.

I received Dad's book yesterday and am so glad to have it! It's a treasure for me on so many levels.

I'm sure Dad knows that his friends out here in California have him in our prayers and thoughts, but hope he's soon able to read these posts and know he's getting prayed for and loved all over the world.

We love you, Dad. Get well soon and we'll be checking in daily to see how you're doing. Love and PURRS from your friends Jamaka and fams in California <3
