We are all glad to see a Saturday morning, we have a little more time to sleep and then get ready for Sunday. And we have all day to enjoy our tea and coffee. I have it ready now so you stop in anytime today and I will pour you a hot cup of whatever you want.

If you have the time over the week end you might want to check on the tomato garden. And you might see me look around down there, searching for a ripe tomato. Here below are both links, two different views.

This link above is about the eagles. Interesting.

If you would like to see if the eagles are still in the nest this Eagle Web Cam will take you up there.

We are beginning to have hot days, yesterday we had a 85 and the same is expected today. And we always seem to have a thunder storm in the evening. This kind of weather pleases me and the tomatoes seem to be enjoying it.

Kumato - The Tomato That’s Always Ripe
By Vanessa Richins
One of the hardest parts of growing tomatoes is waiting for them to ripen.
Of course, you can use green tomatoes in some recipes, a la “Fried Green Tomatoes”, but most recipes call for juicy, ripe tomatoes.
As I was zipping around Google, I came across a tomato variety called the Kumato.
Its claim to fame is that it is able to be picked and used at any stage of development.
As Hellomagazine.com explains, “The Kumato…starts with a dark green skin and a mild flavor. It then turns dark brown with a sweet and spicy aroma, before finally becoming a dark red hue which is sweet and juicy. It is available in two sizes, a Read the rest of this entry »

Good Morning Dad,
That coffee sure smells good. I believe I will have a cup or maybe two. We had some rough storms last night. The wind really got up too. That always worries me since we have so many trees close to the house. Well I just wanted to drop by to see you smile ;0) I hope you have a good day!
Dear Dad and Ms. Mary:
EMPTY NEST over at WVEC! I hope we do see them again...Enjoyed the "KUMATO" article and hope to be able to try and even grow these sometime! They look nice, too. I'm sorry to hear yesterday was slow for you -- we'll have to try harder so that doesn't happen again, won't we? I enjoyed your Thought For the Day, as ever, and things are looking good over at your place today -- is that red I see on your plants? ;) Have a wonderful weekend. Love and hugs from Jamaka and fams

It was probably quiet because all your readers were busy getting their own tomatoes planted, because you inspired them! Hope you're having a good weekend. Don't you sometimes wish you could just spread your wings and fly like those eagles. Wait a second... you DID fly!! I'm still amazed by that. Love, Becky
