Good Morning.

"Time is so precious-do not waste it.''

"Begin the Day with God."

" Smile "
.
I am really surprised this morning that I am still feeling good. We were in our bible study last night and soon after it was over I was in my bed, and I had the best nights sleep that I have had in a long time. So I am up and ready to go get'em. I can even smile this morning.
.

I hope that I can get as much done today as I did yesterday. We are removing most of the tomatoe plants from the garden because they have finished their job. We wish that they could have lasted longer. We and some of our friends did enjoy them while they lasted. Its too early to even think about next season. That is too far ahead for this old man to be making plans.
..

I always think about those Shelties early each morning. It brings back a lot of sweet memories to me as I watch Sara work with them. It make me think of my Sheltie " Scottie " who I enjoyed for a few years. Now come with me and we will see whats going on at Sars's house this morning. Here is the place Sara's Dog Training and she will welcome you in. DAD

The Whale

A female humpback whale had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a Line tugging in her mouth.

A fisherman spotted her just east of the Faralon Islands (outside the Golden Gate ) and radioed For help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only Way to save her was to dive in and untangle her -- a very dangerous proposition.

One slap of The tail could kill a rescuer. They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her. When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, nudged them, and pushed gently, Thanking them.

Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.
The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the Whole time, And he will never be the same. May you, and all those you love, be so fortunate...

To be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you. And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude. I pass this on to you, my friend, in the same spirit.

This was sent to me by my friend Rilmich. Dad.

Here is another one of those entries too long for my blog. It is helpful and interesting. The link is below.

We are still having very nice weather, a few thunderstorms in the afternoons and it a little cooler. Here is what AOL says is going to happen today.

Today -- 8/13/09.

I have had the tea and coffe ready since about 4 a.m. and forgot to mention it. Sorry. But I see some of you stoped in anyway, you knew what you would find. Thanks for stopping . Dad
.
This will be all for today. If all goes well I will see you Friday morning. Remember that our Smile goes all around this world and it is the same in every language. Please help me to keep it going. Sending Love and good wishes to all of you.

Glad you are SMILING today! There is nothing like a good nights rest to make you feel good. Our tomatoes here in northern Ohio are just now in their prime. We were much later starting than you were. Your smile is infectious so now I'm SMILING too and will pass it along today!

A good night's sleep can work wonders, can't it? Glad you are feeling well, Dad. And my goodness, you sure do get some beautiful birds in your part of the country. Well, I am off now to get my own good night's sleep. Hope your day is wonderful and full of good things.

Glad that you are feeling well this morning Dad, that was a beautiful rose and the birds were beautiful also. Loved that whale story.
Sorry your tomatoes have played out. I have never added my name to a list that came from a forward. We can't be to careful these days. I hope you and Mary have a great day today. Hugs to you both, Helen

Glad you are feeling better today and can smile real big! I normally sleep very soundly and last night I tossed and turned. lol

Must have been the calming peaceful effect of God's word that made you sleep so good. Maybe I will try that tonight.

Our tomatoes still have a few left. The cooler weather fooled the plants to thinking it was fall. Just a few more on the heirlooms and the cherry tomatoes and romas still have lots of green plant to them.

OH, aren't those beautiful pictures of your rose and the colorful birds! We don't have birds like that here, but my mom used to talk about the cardinals she saw back home in Illinois when she was a child. How lovely they are! and how lucky they are to have your care and feeding.

I really enjoyed the story, and benefitted from the "forwards" article. Maybe if enough people read that, they'll stop sending all those annoying forwards??? ;}

Well, my browser STILL won't let me see your WebCams no matter what I do; but I know your garden is so special! Have a wonderful evening. Love from Jamaka and fams
