Happy 4th of July DAD!
Lots of fireworks happening already around here. Luckily, Chewy doesn't seem bothered by them or thunderstorms either. I hope it stays that way. Misty was so afraid of all those boomies, it made me so sad when she couldn't stop shaking.
Good Morning DAD...
It is a lovely morning, great for the tomato plants and for sitting on the patio sipping a cup of bold Sumatra coffee and listening to the happy birds.
It is our country's birthday and it is the 105th birthday of a local woman, Rose Vener. Like you she continues to live in her home of 60+ years. She will celebrate with family and friends in her backyard.
We will stay close to home until dinner time when we will meet Sara and Jeff for BBQ. Later I know I will need ice cream. It is a tradition to sit outdoors on a picnic table of a local ice cream stand, licking cool, refreshing ice cream and watching some of the magnificient fireworks.
Hope you get to enjoy some ice cream or apple pie to celebrate our country's birthday.
Happy Birthday America. ..Sara's Mom
Enjoyed reading your blog as usual, Dad. Wishing you & Mary a Happy Independence Day. I'm sure the rain we are getting today will help your tomatoes.
I love that Bible verse- Be still and know that I am God. Seems as if I can hear him better when all is still and quite. Good time to think about things.
I hope you and Mary had a great 4th.
Love you two.
Helen
