The poem below is a little bit sad, yet so comforting, that God will be with us to the end.

Dear Lord, in some dim future month, or day,
Abides the hour, the solemn hour, when Thou shalt take my soul away.
That year, that month that day of days, come soon, come late, I know not when.
Oh Thou who rulest all my ways, oh Lord of Life whom Death obeys,
Be with me then, be with me then.

Somewhere upon this globe of ours is hid the spot where I must die,
Where 'mid the snow, or 'mid the flowers,my form, will coffined lie. In north or south or east or west, at home, abroad, I know not where.
Oh tender Father; Lord of grace Whose presence fills the realms of space,
Be with me there, be with me there.

By fire? By flood? By famine sore, by sudden stroke, By slow decay?
When death's dark angel's at my door, how shall it call my soul away?
God only knows, He bends the bow, and He alone can fire the dart.
Yet care I not when, where or how the end shall come, Dear Lord,
If Thou wilt then but shield me in Thine Heart.

This is all for this day. I must stop for some of that Starbucks Sumatra x bold and a much needed nap, Prince is already taking his..

I hope to see you in the morning if all is well. I have enjoyed my visit with you this morning.

We are sending you our LOVE and best wishes to everyone, every where in this troubled world. My wishes would be for us all to be able to live with peace in our hearts. Try to RELAX today if possible.

BYE BYE DAD.

Good morning DAD! What a fabolous day we had here yesterday. Jeff thought about taking the snow tires off his truck, and I wanted to bring out the deck furniture.

Then we remembered, oh yea! We live in upstate NY! This weather is a tease, and next week it will be snowing again.

At least it won't hang around for long.

Oreo had a great day yesterday, and loved being outside.

Good Afternoon DAD...

I am a bit late. Had to be out of the house early for some shopping and now I am in the midst of packing and wrapping birthday presents for the two grandsons who we will be seeing over the weekend.

The aerial before and after photos are amazing and show just how little is left in the areas devasted by the earthquake and tsunami. The people are now suffering from lack of basic necessities. It is the worse devastion in my lifetime and my heart aches for the people.

Yesterday I had a female cardinal on the windowsill and a woodpecker trying desperating to tap into a hard rock maple...he/she was not successful and moved off to better trees.

Glad you have been able to get a lot of work done outdoors. My plan for next week, weather permitting, is clearing the lawn of all the branches scattered everywhere. I hope for sunshine for you and for me.

Sounds like you and Mary are enjoying being busy and working hard. Do take it easy and rest awhile with some Sumatra and Prince.

Dear Dad, Ms. Mary and sweet, sunny Prince Charming:

Those photos are absolutely UNBELIEVABLE, Dad...and the poem you posted goes with them. What more can be said about what no words can adequately express?

Wishing you all a comfortable, warm, loved and Blessed weekend -- with love and purrs from Jamaka and family<3
