DADS THURSDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED TWENTY THREE

What is the most important thing in your life today ? Give it a lot of thought before you answer me. DAD

Good Morning

My mood is still Happy, but I am having to work a little harder to keep it Happy, I am sure that I can do it.

Today

Showers possible in the afternoon. Thunder possible. High 18C. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

Sunny skies during the morning hours will give way to occasional showers in the afternoon. Thunder possible. High around 65F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

Are you getting tired of doing all the same old things every day ? IF you love what you are doing you are not. I have heard it said " Get a job that you love and you will never work a day in your life " I love what I do producing tomatoes,roses and smiles the pay is not the best but being happy and content and seeking to live for others is my goal in this short life.DAD

Be fore I Began to hunt and pick on this keyboard I started a big pot of Sumatra x bold coffee and I know that it is ready, come share a cup with me. Dad.

I am begriming to think of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and a smile comes on. I enjoy the two hours that we are there each morning, I am receiving so much help. I am pleased with the attention that we receive from the time that we call Sherry to tell her that we are in the parking lot until we are took back to our car for the trip home. We do have a nice smiling person in the treatment with us, to take care of us, giving us water a warm blanket, and keeping us comfortable. They never sleep their eyes are on us, and smiling all the time.

If you would like to join us call your personal Doctor and he will know what to do. I hope that you can be with us soon. Dad recommends this highly.

DADS ENTRY FOR WEDNESDAY THREE THOUSAND TWENTY TWO

Never let the sad memories of the past, rob you of the pleasures of this day.

Good morning

My mood this morning is still Happy, and I intend to keep it Happy this day what ever comes across my path good or bad. DAD

Today

Abundant sunshine. High 20C. Winds light and variable.

Mainly sunny. High 69F. Winds light and variable.

Contained In the things that make me Happy today are our Wednesday bible study which will be here at our home at 7:30 PM. We are studying Hebrews chapter 13. We do get help in these meetings and living in this cold, cruel, sinful world we are going to need all the help that we can get to keep traveling on to the end, that won't be much longer for some of us, I know that includes Old DAD.

I sure wish that you were in our number, some time later I will tell you how you can be  I want to thank you Dr Hill for all your Smiles and kindness to all of us. The nurses that I see ever other day are surprised at results that they can see.

    I must get out of hers, I hope to see you in the morning if my life is spared another day.

    DADS FRIDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED TWELVE

    Good Morning

    My Mood on this Friday morning is Happy. Now you tell me about yours.

    Time is so short-do not waste it

    I am working a little earlier  than usual this morning, as you know this is Friday and I always have a lot to do this day, getting ready for Sunday so I like to get all done that is possible this day. I will of course write a journal  in the morning that will be for Saturdays and Sundays reading , a little confusing. DAD. Well Dad always is, it takes him forever to do nothing.

    Today..This report is for Dads garden

    Abundant sunshine. High 15C. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

    Sunny skies. High near 60F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

    I might be able to get a little sun on this old gray head some time this after noon, we will be busy with that two hour oxygen treatment this morning, I don't like to miss this. Dr Hall told me yesterday that I am the oldest person that he have ever given this treatment 98 plus years old. I highly recommend it to you, it has done wonders for me DAD.

    I will be in and out this day, mostly in because I have lots to do, and while I am in this Happy mood and feeling so good I had better get to work.

    The outdoor Wild Life Habitat is in terrible condition and I must get it in good shape for the winter months ahead, i can't let my birds and other wild life suffer. The red birds do no migrate in the winter here at my house they are with me all winter long, and I enjoyed seeing many yesterday, makes you smile to watch then.

    I had a little more but I have forgot what is was, so why don't we end it with a cup  of Starbucks Sumatra x bold. I will say that I have had a wonderful morning here, and I will hope to see you Saturday. Say that coffee is good, what do you think Joan

    DADS WEDNESDAY ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY EIGHE

    Begin the day with God, go through the day with God, conclude the day with God, and you will sleep better tonight when you are ready for that cot tonight.

    Good Morning

    I must ask about my friends the first thing this morning. I hope that all is well at your house this morning. it might be a little better if we had a cup of that Sumatra x bold coffee, well it will be ready soon, now if I just had some way to get you right beside me.

    I am feeling very good, I had a busy day on Tuesday mostly working on the comments , I think that I having  them right, we will know up in the morning when readers call in, some satisfied and some not happy, I have done the best that I can,what do  you expect from a 98 man, not much I hope. I will let you know how things go. DAD

    I have been thinking about  Oreo and Chewy, I have Oreo's picture in the side panel but nothing from chewy, we need to go to

    I will be going to Hyperbarieoxygen therapy this morning at around 10 a.m.will get out around 12 noon, then back to Dads house for another day of work, not much planed at the present, but something will turn up, it always does. And I do feel like working ' thanks to that oxygen. I wish that tomato season was here, we can dream about it anyway.

    DADS MONDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY SEVEN

    TIME IS SO PRECIOUS= DO NOT WASTE IT.

    Good Morning

    Monday is here and I am out of my bed feeling good and ready to get back to work, I even have a little grin even though  it is early and I have not had any Sumatra x bold coffee, we can get some started and have it ready very soon.

    The reason that I am here so early is because that I am so far behind. When I turned this computer on this morning  I did not have one word written , not even the least thought of what to tell you I wish that some of you would stop in and help me this morning DAD

    The first thing that I would like to know is how are you doing, I hope that all has been going good for you since I have talked to you, I have missed all those comments  that you send me.

    The first thing that I am going to do  this morning is go to Hyperbarie  oxygen therapy and and get in that two hour period of breathing that wonderful oxygen, I am begin to feel the need for it. It is doing me so much good, I do not to miss any more days, I had to miss three when I went to our convention, and I thought of you all every morning, I remembered how you would be sitting  Dad

    I never knew of the boat rescues that took place on 9/11.  Here is a video of boat owners rallying and rescuing hundreds of thousands of people from NYC. So nice that Tom Hanks is recognizing these deeds in this video. Joan

    DADS FRIDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY FIVE

    Life is so short-do not waste it DAD

    Good Morning.

    Today is the second day of our convention, the time is passing so fast, and we are listing to some wonderful things, I hope that these thing are being written on my heart, most people take notes, I just cant do that I would just rather listen intently on what is being spoken and let it sink down into my heart.

    I would like to know how all my friends are doing, even though I am enjoying this I am still missing you. I can picture what is going on this morning over at Hyperbaric oxygen therapy. I can picture each step that are being taken to get our friends under those oxygen hoods, Monday will be here soon, and you will find me there. I am begriming to feel MT need for some Oxygen. Please tell every one there Hi, and I do miss them. Dad

    A few of my friends did not think that I was able for the four days of our convention  since I have been having a little foot trouble, but I am showing them that I am able, as you know that I have my golf cart to get from the meeting shed to the dining room and bathrooms, and I even have a cot where  I can rest if that need comes, I am spending  most of my time between the meeting visiting my old friends, many of them over 50 years ago What a pleasure.  Sweet memories of the past.Dad

    I have my one gem and I think that Mary is going to leave one also, mine is.

    DADS TUESDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY SEVEN

    Keep true and faithful to the end, whatever comes your way, it won't be long. Dad.

    Good Morning

    Today

    Showers. High 25C. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 40%.

    Rain showers in the morning becoming more intermittent in the afternoon. High 78F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 40%.

    I would like to find out about you this morning. I know that you are still resting in a nice warm bed, where I should be, but I am happy where I am doing what I like to do, and I intend to keep it up as long as I am able to sit at this keyboard . Some advice that I received in my youth that I never forgot and it does make sense " Never work at a job that you do not like, if you can help it, life is so short. "

    Our Mary is still taking a few day off, we are missing  her so much, she will be back with me Monday morning, But I have no complaints about the service that I am getting from Jim, he is doing a real good job in taking care of old contrary DAD, He gets me to the Hyperbaric oxygene therapy every morning and waits for two hours for me, just the same as Mary has been doing, Waiting is hard work

    I do want to tell you that this treatment is doing wonders for me, and I highly recommend it to all of you. When I come away from the treatment I feel so much better, more get up and go, and able to enjoy life, I am even planning a Tomato Garden this coming spring.  And the Kindness there  you will receive is wonderful  If you ever have a chance to try this please take Dads advice and do it.

    DADS WEDNESDAYS ENTRY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY SEVEN

    Good Morning.

    I need to repeat heavy rain again  this Wednesday morning, and it looks like more before the week is over. It is slowing down my outside work, but I can catch up soon as I am feeling so much better and I am not afraid of work, why I can lay down right by the side of it and fall fast asleep. Dad

    Cloudy with a few showers. High 67F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

    We promised you to be back soon yesterday, but we were not able to keep that promise, we found a few thinks that we could do while we were out that had been hanging long enough, and the were profitable so we thought now is the time, " Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow" Now wait a minuet that don't sound right, but I kindly like it.

    • If some of you readers would take every thing that I have said up above and run it through a strainer or sifter for me, and get it to where it makes sense, it seems to be all mixed  up, I know that you will help me Dad.

    Our mid week bible study is at our house tonight. Our study is Colossians chapters three and four. There are some important reading in the first few verses of chapter three. DAD

    I must stop with this, it is enough. I left 0ut a lot, some about advertising , Vic's books, and a lot of other things, but they can wait, there will be another day, and I realize more every day that money is not everything.

     I am coming to you full of Vim, Vigor and Vitality, do you want to join me ? We are going to have so much fun this week. You can see that I did sleep in a little this morning. As I write it is 4:23 a.am. I usually have about 4 hours of writing done by this time, Now it is going to be a little more relaxed life for me and I hope that you will be there with me.

    DAD'S FRIDAY ENTRY TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIX

    Good Morning,

    It is 7:06 AM and you may be wondering why there isn't a completed Blog already.

    This is Mary writing here: I insisted Dad go to the dr. yesterday because his left foot and leg are so swollen. Really, it is almost twice the size of his other leg, both the foot and about half-way up the leg. The dr. didn't seem too concerned (but it's not his leg!)and he wrote Dad a prescription for an antibiotic which he is taking. He sees the foot dr. next week and the dr. said to have him "look at it." I want Dad to see another dr. and get a "second opinion." I am trying to work that out now. So please think of us.

    I'll be back here later. Dad is resting, sleeping soundly so I am glad he can rest. We have his feet propped up, but I really don't think it will help this.

    So long for now. I plan to be back later today to let you know how Dad is doing. He loves all of you very much.

    This is Dad writing this at 10:05 A M . I have rested all morning and I know that I do need it. I keep my golf cart at the foot of the stairs to the basement, it is very handy, a few minutes ago I drove to the mail box for the Mail and our paper. I don't want anyone to worry about me, I am a strong old man, and I do not intend to let this hinder my work in producing tomatoes, roses and smiles.

    Mary is taking perfect care of me, even brings my food to my bed side, come on I am going to take another nap.

    DAD'S WEDNESDAY'S ENTRY TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED NINETY EIGHT

    Good Morning to all of you on another rain falling morning, it has been very wet here for several days, we have not been able to get near the tomato garden, they do seem to be growing, we might have a few tomatoes after all our hail setback.


    It's cold her is starting off at 48 degrees and expects to rise to only 65, with rain in the morning hours. Then maybe a little sun. This looks like another stay inside day, Prince will be happy.

    DADS TUESDAYS ENTRY TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED NINETY ONE

    Good Morning.



    Another new day to face, Don't they come fast, some days I don't feel able to face them, but I think that I can today, after I have my coffee, you know that Sumatra x bold , there is nothing like it.



    I am moving a little slow and very careful this morning, yesterday I had so much trouble with this journal and I don't want the same to happen this day.

    Mary is feeling some better this morning, so we do plan to get a few things done, one of them is to buy four more Double Knock Out Roses, and then watch over those new tomato plants that we have growing, you will soon be able to see them on Camera # 2.



    This has been a very strange tomato season for me, a month or more later and I am getting so hungry for a home grown tomato.



    I think that I should stop before I make another mess like I did yesterday. I hope that all of you around this world are having a wonderful day, and don't forget that our Smile goes around this world, and that the sun never sets on Dad's Tomato Garden Journal.

    FRIDAY'S ENTRY TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTY FIVE


    " Live for others every day 'tis the true the better way "


    Good Morning.



    Hope all is going well for everyone today. It of course is friday and I am glad for that, it means that my rest day will soon be here, I am ready for it. This week has been a busy, busy week, but we are looking for some good helpful times this week end.

    Look what was walking around in my tomato garden this morning, I believe that is one of Kelly's roosters that has got loose, I am sure that you remember Kelly, she is the one who lives in N. Georgia and has so mann kinds of chickens. Mary and I visited her last summer we really enjoyed seeing all the folks there. DAD

    That bed was feeling so good this morning, but I knew that I must face the day. The weather is going to be hot here today 85 and no rain predicted. The fall leaves have begin to show up and we plan to get a few pictutes, maybe a short trip up to Old Smoky, in less than hour we can be at the top. .

    I have checked all 3 cams and they seem to be O.K so I am going to stop for a while, I might get a little nap before work time, the time now is 3:50 a.m.
