The day that we like the best is here, and I think that it is going to be a nice one. Yesterday was real nice, the high was 60 here at Dad's Tomato Garden, and we had a brisk wind blowing most of the day . And
this morning we have a temperature of 41. The flag was beautiful. ( You can view the flag at night now, I have it lighted fairly good, but I am still seeking improvements.) The link to the cam is on the side panel.
..
Here below are just a few of the links that you will find in the side panel. There are many more interesting ones there.

Here is my thought for this Friday.
..
" Oh ! for the peace of a perfect trust , My loving God in Thee.Unwavering faith that never doubts, Thy choice is best for me.
..
And e'en tho disappointments come, They, too are best for me, To wean me from this changing world. And lead me nearer Thee."
.
I was in one of our meetings last night, and this is the thought that I enjoyed. These words were in one of the songs that was called out. Thanks to R.L.Allan and son of Glasgow Scotland for giving me permission to use this. Dad,

..... If you look over in the side panel you will see a new Visitors counter, We just started this a few days ago, and are trying it out. I hope that it works good, I do like it. Dad......
..
The best Visitor list is on Dad's Tomato Garden Web Page it seems to show more of our visitors from other countries. Go to that page and check it out... Each page has it's own Visitor's list.

Experiments in Social Networking : Tomato Haiku

I love Twitter!
It’s a microblogging website where you can connect with people around the world.
I use it to post links to articles I write and talk to other gardeners. You can find me
here.
Tonight I had an experiment pop into my head. If I asked people on Twitter to write haiku about tomatoes, would they do it? If you don’t know, haiku is a Japanese three line poem with exactly seventeen syllables. The first line contains five syllables, the second has seven, and the third has five again.
It worked!

THANKS DAD FOR KEEPING UP YOUR GOOD WORK.

NOTHING BETTER THAN A RED RIPE TOMATO, WHETHER PULLED FROM THE VINE ON A HOT DAY, SPRINKLED WITH SALT , THE SALT SHAKER TAKEN FROM THE BIB OF A FARM BOY'S OVERHALLS ( MEMORY OF ME ) OR MANY YEARS LATER SLICED INTO A TASTY SALAD IN THE COMFORT OF A MODERN HOME.

WE CHILDREN ON THE FARM IN THE FLINTROCK HILLS OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA DURING THE 'GREAT DEPRESSION' OF THE 1930s WERE HAPPY EVEN WITH THE ABSENCE OF TELEVISION WHICH WAS NOT YET AT THAT TIME. WE HAD RADIO THOUGH AND 'OUR MISS BROOKS', FIBBER McGEE AND MOLLY, SO MANY OTHER RADIO PRESENTATIONS, 'PIE SUPPERS' TO ATTEND AND A FEW TOWNS WERE PERHAPS ALTERING AND RE-CONDITIONING AN OLD EMPTY STORE BUILDING INTO A MOVIE THEATER TO PROUDLY PRESENT 'THE WIZARD OF OZ' OR 'THE GRAPES OF WRATH' WHICH CERTAINLY HIT HOME BECAUSE WE WERE LIVING IN THE AWFUL DUST STORMS THAT BLEW IN FROM WESTERN OKLAHOMA, SOME DAYS NOT SEEING THE SUN.

ARE CHILDREN ANY HAPPIER IN THIS PRESENT DAY ?

MAY GOD BLESS WE ALL WHOM TRUST IN HIM. sam

Dear Dad, Ms. Mary and sweet Princess:
SO GLAD to hear your better report on the Princess and you can be sure that the prayers and healing thoughts are continuing from here, and all over the world, for her. How can such a little being be so big in our lives? I ask myself this question all the time, as I send up prayers of gratefulness for that unconditional love, loyalty, and beauty that only a cat can provide. They give us so much! and ask so little. Best wishes for continuing improvement for Princess, and for a good evening and weekend for you all. Big, healing PURRS for the Princess, too! ((((((((^^))))))))
