Here’s Jim with the catch from last Friday on Douglas Lake. Jim and his friend, Doug, took 10 fish home: 5 crappie and 5 white bass. The crappie were big—one was 14.5 inches in length. They also caught and released some small crappie, a few drum, some small bass and one sauger pike. Jim loves to fish better than a turkey loves to gobble. DAD

Now I hope that you will not be worried because this is Monday. I feel that we have a lot to do with what kind of day that we will have.
These quiet morning hours are the best time to do that before we get all bothered about what is begining to happen around us. So smile and show to everyone that you are enjoying life.

What a nice post. Thank you for your good words as we start this new work week. You're right, we need to take a little time and just feel a sense of peacefulness and happiness and not be bothered by whatever's going on at work. We DO have a big choice in whether or not we have a nice day. You are so right, and that was a good reminder.
Sorry to hear you're having some thunderstorms today. I think this would be a good day to invite Jim to come over and cook up some of that good fresh fish! I may just have to invite myself over for dinner, too (wink).
I can't believe Jim caught all those fish! Plus, they're all so big! That is amazing.
I'm glad you're feeling good this morning. I had a nice relaxing weekend, now its time to go back to work. Only 28 more days of classes until final exams!

I just visited Jim and saw he and Doug's catch over the weekend...nice bunch of Crappies. I am a firm believer in attitude affecting our day. I am also right here having coffee with you. Have a great day and eat tomatoes. They brighten your day as well as mine. I had a BLT Sat., first in awhile...just was not as good as fresh out of the garden, but I have that to look forward to this summer. Bless your day.

Good Morning DAD...
Stopping by for a quick visit and a cup of x-bold coffee before heading out for a walk and some shopping with a friend. It is warm and looks like rain so we may be walking indoors at the mall...but a walk with a friend is always good no matter where. The weekend was hot but I did get out and weeded one of my flower beds. The plants are getting bigger and some are in bloom. With the weeds gone it is looking good. Still waiting for my tomato plants to come from Burpee. They know better than I when it is time to plant them so I will just have to be patient. I want my tomatoes to look like the ones on your sidebar photos of last year's bounty. I especially like the July 9 and July 14 photos...both make my mouth water...pass the salt shaker!

Another week! One restless and two sleepy eaglets in the nest right now. I think they might be interested in what your son has on that line. ;) Do you ever fry fish in corn meal batter, Dad?
