I hope that you are as glad as I am to see this Saturday come around again. I am not as tired as usual because about all I have done this past week is watch the birds and taking naps. But I feel the need of being renewed in mind and spirit. And I know where to get that an I am going there.

You know how these Saturday journals are, I keep them open all day. So you may be seeing more of me during the day. It seems that many of you are on vacation and I hope that you are enjoying it. I do get a little lonesome me not hearing from you but I know that you will soon be home and things will be back to normal.

Another beautiful one here, 70 degrees and sunny right now. I do enjoy our mornings. I am so happy you posted the link to the eagles. What a beautiful site to see the fledgings soaring and the proud parents watching. We have a nest in our apple tree. I am guessing it is a robin's nest because I found 1 cracked blue egg on the ground, probably from a squirrel doing the damage.
My grape tomatoes are getting so large I am wondering when they will begin to turn red. At the rate they are growing, they will soon be full size tomatoes. I have never seen grape tomatoes this big...do you think I should pick them green and let them turn red indoors? I went to the farm stand and bought 3 large tomatoes. When I asked if they were local the woman said "sort of, they are from NJ". I told her how much I love NJ tomatoes. Hoping these will be delicious when I slice one for lunch today. The white corn is from Delaware. Finally we are getting delicious small farm fruits and veggies. I am SMILING!

we have a hot one here in Northern Ill. our poor tomatoes have had too much rain not enough heat lately. Hopefully this hot spell fixes things. have a great day!
